Our Team

Each staff member, including Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) and Assistants, is equipped with First Aid and CPR training and has undergone a Vulnerable Sector Check and Police Record Check. We also offer ongoing professional development through OneHSN to keep our staff at the forefront of early childhood education.

Our RECEs are active members of the College of Early Childhood Educators, ensuring they meet the highest standards of practice. Our Early Childhood Educator Assistants play a vital role in the smooth operation of our programs, using their expertise to nurture and guide the future leaders of tomorrow.

We are committed to upholding the College of Early Childhood Educators’ Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Our dedication to continuous learning ensures we remain knowledgeable about the latest in child development and care.

Healthy meals and snacks are prepared on-site by our cook, who holds a Food Handlers Training Certificate.

All volunteers and placement students are always supervised by First Steps Child Care Centre, including participating parents who interact directly with the children. Children are never supervised by individuals under 18, and only First Steps Child Care Centre employees have direct, unsupervised access to them.

All volunteers and students must present a satisfactory vulnerable sector check before engaging with the children. We follow strict procedures for screening, training, and evaluating volunteers and students to ensure our high standards are consistently maintained.
